Rodrick Lubdig

My fellow bloggers, Mr. Reid has assigned my AP English class to create a blog. I am using it to communicate my observations, with Mr. Reid, his girlfriends’ English class, and the rest of the world if I'm interesting enough. I'm blogging about my 14-year old sister. Her name is Lyric Nameleokalani Melody Reyes. I typically call her Rodrick Lubdig, or Lubdig for short. I chose her as my subject of observation due to the fact that I see her everyday. Though, I've never truly paid attention to her entire physique. Maybe now I may.

First Weekly Observation Entry: Day 3 Observation- October 1, 2014 #Insightful

Here is an entry from my Observation Notes: “Today was a rough day for Lyric. I can tell by the look on her face. A wrinkled forehead, frowning from cheek to cheek, and eyes filled with something unhappy. Volleyball practice would be a plausible reason for her sulkiness. But I don’t assume. Assumptions often lead to more assumptions and in the end I never ACTUALLY know, so I decide to ask. I ask her but she doesn't say much. She never says much. She's very tough. Not that it’s a bad thing. She’s just tough.”
One of the objectives of this assignment is to actually pay attention to something/someone that is around you every day, but never truly noticed. I’ve been around my sister for almost 15 years, and I’ve never realized just how clueless I am. Throughout my observations, I hope to further understand her dominance and her toughness. Perhaps I will discover new things about my sister that I would never have known if not for this assignment.

  2. You have to understand her. She's on her "teen-age days" as parents would say. Looking forward to your blogs!
